These pesky celebs couldn't resist breaking the rules to capture the night on camera

 

It had been reported that the stars were banned from taking selfies at last night’s Met Gala.
But these celebs have always lived by their own rules and were as snap happy as ever last night.
And it wasn’t just the likes of selfie addict Kim who shared picture after picture - Madonna, Katy Perry and Lady Gaga were all in on the act.

Kim, who stole the show in a very revealing frock, uploaded a snap of herself with hubby Kanye, Diplo and Madonna.
She captioned it: “Met @diplo x Kanye x @Madonna”
Justin Bieber competed by sharing a snap of himself with Lady Gaga – captioned “Me and the queen.”
And showing complete defiance were the supermodels who posed for a massive group selfie.

Prior to last nights $25,000 per ticket event, which had a China: Through the looking glass theme, it was reported that the The Metropolitan Museum of Art has sent out a notice telling guests that this year it’s a selfie free zone.
It’s thought the reason for this is Anna Wintour – who hosted it.
The formidable Vogue editor hates selfies and this year Vogue are making a documentary about the event – which means she might want to keep everything under wraps until that is ready.
